
Yoga is meant for all ages, starting from three years onward.There are certain Yoga Aasans which are more beneficial for children, for healthy mind and body. There are Asanas to help in increasing the height, improve concentration, eye sight, flexibility etc.
Halasna: Lie down on your back with hands on the side. As you inhale, lift both your legs and take it backwards, above the head. After being in this position for some seconds, exhale and bring your legs to its original position. This asana is advisable for flexibility of body.
Dhanurasan: After lying down on your stomach, first take a breath and lift your legs back. Hold the ankles with hands; stay like that for a few moments.Now exhale as you leave your legs and bring it to the original position. This would make arms, legs stronger and improves eyesight.
Trikonasan: Stand straight and then stretch out both your legs as far as possible. Now with your right hand touch your right foot. Then rise up, similarly do with left hand to left foot also. Inhale as you go down and exhale as your rise. Good for the back and to gain height.
Utthanpadasan: On your back lie down with hands to the side; palms facing the floor. Now slowly lift one leg and inhale simultaneously, let the leg make a 90 degree angle. Then bring the leg down after a few seconds and exhale as you bring the leg down, follow the same with other leg. It is good for digestive system and gets rid of abdominal problems.
