
It is situated at RajNagar in Mevad (Rajasthan). It is one of the best examples of 17th century’s architecture. You can say that it is poetry carved on marble. It is located near Rajsamand zeal (lake) and Aravali hills. It was the dream of Maharana Rajsinh. He got started the work by constructed the dam on the scared river Gomati in 1718 and completed within 14 year.
It is believed that e of the architecture belongs to Bhadra sangank jalashayas? (lake) series.? This place is surrounded by hill water. The figure 9? is very important for this architecture. Everything here is in reference of 9 it considered as a lucky no. There are 9 architectural chawki. Each the group of three. The staircase of this cawki is also nine. The special thing is that the no is repeated everywhere. The stories of amrut manthan, Gajendra moksha, and other events of the great epic mahabharat & Ramayana and varies incidents from the life of shree Krishna are carved inside on the walls of the mandap. The beam on the ceiling has en extra ordinary carving of Rasleela.
There are forty idols involve in the Rasleela, though it is standstill but it seems live.in addition there is a series of musician alongwith their varies instrument. The walls, beams and column of this chawki are encarved with pictures of varies subjects. There are encarved pictures of apsaras, deities and birds animals, people of the same time, their tradition. This is a unique architecture of Rajasthan.
